El mejor mochi que he probado. Realmente bueno.

Kanmidokoro Kamakura Tobunikkoekimaeten We discovered this spot at the start of our walk from Nikko Station toward the Nikko Toshogu shrine and decided the shaved ice would be the perfect reward at the end of our circuit on a warm day. When we returned, we ordered the matcha shaved ice, which was generously covered in matcha syrup—with even more offered on the side. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and while we were enjoying our treat, they kindly offered us samples of their award-winning warabi mochi. It was easy to see why their mochi had earned such recognition—it quite literally melts in your mouth. We decided to purchase both the matcha and kinako varieties to take home, and the staff were generous in covering each piece with plenty of powder. They were also considerate enough to freshly prepare the mochi and package everything promptly, knowing we were trying to catch our return train. If you’re in the area, we highly recommend stopping by to try both the shaved ice and the mochi. We’re glad we stumbled upon this hidden gem.

This was a pleasant surprise as we were passing by and looking to try something new. We had no idea just what we were going to get into, but a fairly warm spring day and a hike up to the shrine made us yearn for something cold. We had stood in front of the sign for a bit contemplating and not knowing for sure what it was, but we were greeted when one of the employees walked out with a sample that would immediately change our indecision into action. This was among the best warabi mochi I have tried. It was super soft, but the kinako stuck to it like no other, and the flavor was amazing. Be prepared to pay cash as they do not yet accept Visa or MasterCard, but they do have other more local forms of payment. I agree with others here that after having a sample of the warabi mochi, it was sent over the top when paired as a cold drink - better than bubble tea. Give it a try! :)
